"Studying for the MCAT was intimidating; I had to review two years worth of content in a few months, and to top it off there were significant gaps between what I had been taught in classes and what was on the MCAT. With just a few months to go, I reached out to a Path to MD tutor. He was reassuring, but honest about the amount of material we needed to cover. We then had a series of about 7 sessions, with the first half being a 1-1 lecture on content, and the second half being MCAT practice passages that tested me on that specific content. It was a lot of material, but my tutor was so well versed in it and could answer so many of my nitpicky questions that I came out of each session feeling not only like I had a great start on the content, but also what it would look like on the MCAT. He also helped me re-strategize after every practice test, and as a result I steadily got better scores. By the time I was done taking practice tests I was scoring about a 515 and then a 520 on the actual MCAT. It's difficult to image myself scoring that high without the targeted help and coaching I got from my Path to MD tutor.
Additionally, I asked my Path to MD tutor to set up mock MMI interviews for me. He took on a variety of approaches, some more understanding, and some more challenging to simulate the variety of personalities I might get. It challenged me to think about topics that I just hadn't considered before, and to think quickly on my feet without caving into pressure from time or a challenging interviewer.
All in all, my Path to MD tutor was an integral part of my preparation for medical school, and the work we did together went a long way to giving me the scores and confidence I needed to succeed in the application process.”

"Path to MD was instrumental in helping me score within my target range (514 overall on test day). When I started studying, I felt overwhelmed by the number of topics covered by the test. My tutor helped me focus on the key ideas and limited the number of facts I thought I needed to memorize. Each session we did problems of varying difficulty on topics that I struggled with, so that when the test day came I felt confident that I was ready for the hard problems, too. I highly recommend the company, and I'm so grateful not to have to retake the exam."

"I just wanted to thank Path to MD and my tutor for helping me achieve my MCAT and medical school dreams. I took the MCAT previously and scored just below 500. I was discouraged and worried about what I could do differently for my second attempt at the MCAT. But my Path to MD tutor guided me through the entire process, always answered my questions thoroughly, and helped me develop the know-how, strategy, and confidence to excel. With my tutor's direction and a lot of hard work, I got a 512 overall on my MCAT and got multiple MD program acceptances, including to an Ivy League medical school where I plan to start in the Fall! I am beyond excited!”

"I started tutoring with Path to MD with only a month before my test date. I was consistently scoring around 501 and needed help targeting areas for improvement. I had taken a test-prep course with a large company and did not receive the individual help I was looking for. My tutor at Path to MD helped me identify high-yield areas that allowed me to improve my score quickly. Not only that, but my tutor also offered me general advice and encouragement that made me feel confident on test day. I ended up scoring a 511, which was well above my target score. I'm glad I invested in Path to MD and only had to take this monster test once!"

"I don't typically write reviews but I have to for this one. I'm the type of person who loves studying on my own because that's what works for me. I attempted the same technique for my MCAT. BIG MISTAKE. I spent a whole year studying for it while juggling work and extracurricular activities. I also spent a lot of time doubting myself, hence pushed the exam date multiple times. After a few months studying and convincing myself I was ready, I took the MCAT but didn't do so well (495 overall). I was obviously devastated. After a whole month, I picked myself up and looked for a legit tutor. I came across Path to MD, learned what their approach entailed, and signed on. Fast forward a few months later, I started seeing a gradual increase on my practice exams. With my C/P tutor, there was never a single question which was left unanswered. He was a genius and knew everything like the back of his hand. But that's not the only reason why I'm raving about him. He knows exactly how to simplify the most difficult concept and teaches you how to look at questions differently, which is crucial because the MCAT doesn't just require you to regurgitate information, and you're expected to know the art of mental gymnastics. I understood a lot from him, and I walked into the exam room feeling confident! With my B/B tutor, I loved his way of teaching and how he didn't just explain concepts you can easily find on YouTube, but he has you solve questions with him that way you both know where your weak spot is and how to tackle that. I probably bored him with my 1001 questions, but he so patiently answered all of them. My Path to MD tutors were excellent, and they kept in touch with me until the very last day to make sure I wasn't freaking myself out. I walked into the exam room feeling like a champ and walked out as a champ. I am proud to say that my second MCAT attempt increased by 15 points (510 overall), and I wouldn't have done it without my Path to MD tutors. Do yourself a favor and hire these guys if you want the best result!"

"I previously scored a 499 on the MCAT. Before tutoring, I was stuck in this range and was not able to fully understand the topics on the MCAT. This time around, after extensive prep with my tutor, I felt like I was able to master almost every topic—including physics questions which are the bane of my existence. The weekly meetings kept me on track, and my tutor guided me through specific high-yield passages and answered all my questions. My meetings were never rescheduled or cancelled, so it was nice to be able to adhere to a dependable schedule. By the time my MCAT came around I felt prepared. On test day, it felt like any other full-length practice exam I had taken before. I was pleasantly surprised with my score of 508, a 9 point jump from my previous 499, and I know private one-on-one tutoring was the sole reason my score improved. Further, this score helped me secure an acceptance from one of the best medical schools in my home state!”

"As an international student, getting into med school in the US was a long shot for me. But I am going to attend a DO school this fall, which is a dream come true. And I certainly couldn't have done it without the help of my tutor. The schedule that was given to me was very customized to leverage my strengths and work on my weaknesses. With the help of my tutor, I was able to increase my score from 500 (a practice score) to 508 in just a few weeks. I am beyond thrilled to start my medical education and can't thank my tutor enough.”

"My tutor was a fantastic resource for me throughout my MCAT preparation and application to medical school. He was able to answer difficult MCAT questions in any subject, and provided examples to help me remember the material long-term. He also helped me to determine when I was ready to take the MCAT. I achieved a 511 on test day, which was higher than my goal score. After applying to medical school, my tutor helped me to prepare for medical school interviews. I learned how to approach different types of questions, and was able to offer thoughtful answers in my interviews. I was accepted to multiple medical schools. My tutor continues to be an incredible mentor after my acceptance. I highly recommend Path to MD."

"I just wanted to tell you how grateful I am for Path to MD. You connected me with three incredible tutors, who made what could've been an isolating and overwhelming preparation process both engaging and empowering. I received a 516 on the MCAT today, which I am absolutely thrilled about, and I couldn't have done it without your amazing team."

"By the time I signed up with my tutor, I had already tried studying on my own and taking a class by a well-known tutoring company, but I just wasn't seeing the results I wanted on practice tests. By targeting my areas of weakness, my tutor filled in the concepts that I needed and helped me to reason my way through challenging questions. I genuinely feel that my tutor significantly improved both my score (a 510 on test day) and my confidence in my ability to succeed on the MCAT."
